Safend releases data analysis tool for extensive security and operational reporting

Safend Safend, a leading Israeli provider of endpoint Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) solutions, recently announced the release of Safend Reporter, a data analysis tool that reports on data accessed by removable storage devices and wireless ports, providing extensive security and operational reporting that enables data security and regulatory compliance. Safend Reporter is offered as an add-on module to Safend Protector and provides a graphical, high-level view of the organization’s status, allowing administrators to quickly and easily detect irregular or suspicious behavior.

The reports present data in a clear and easy-to-understand dashboard format that can benefit all viewers, including non-technical personnel and executives. Through drill-down capabilities, Safend Reporter also delivers detailed reports to data security personnel within the organization. The security reporting tool enables easy detection of specific employees and departments that frequently disregard internal security policies, while the administrative reports assist in the deployment, policy distribution and compliance with industry regulations and overall visibility of endpoint activity within the organization.

Coupled with the latest release of Safend Protector v3.3 that features built-in compliance policy settings for HIPAA, PCI and SOX, Safend Reporter provides comprehensive regulatory compliance reporting that helps meet the data accountability requirements of these and other compliance standards.

Safend Reporter is an add-on module to the Israeli software Company’s award-winning Safend Protector solution. Safend Protector guards confidential data stored on enterprise PCs and laptops against loss, tampering and theft by both monitoring the transfer of sensitive data as well as controlling access to removable storage devices and wireless communication ports, including USB, FireWire, WiFi, Bluetooth, Infrared (IrDA) and CD/DVDs.
