Consumers now have one ultimate source on the internet for information on natural lycopene. The newly updated Lycopene.com website, developed by LycoRed Ltd., Israel, and based on years of consumer research, will also be a valuable tool for those involved in the manufacture or sale of natural lycopene products.
“Lycopene.com takes a unique, easy-to-use, education-first approach,” says Scott Larkin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for LycoRed. “To that end, the home page is all about explaining the basics such as what lycopene is, where it comes from, and other general information such as why oil is essential to the body’s ability to absorb lycopene.”
Within just one or two clicks, consumers have access to an extensive library of information including:
- The connection between natural lycopene and the Mediterranean diet
- The wealth of studies on the health benefits of natural lycopene including the landmark studies conducted by Dr. Edward Giovannucci and Dr. Omer Kucuk
- Medical doctors’ insights into natural lycopene including articles by Dr. David Heber, author of The Color of Your Diet; and Dr. Cathleen London discussing the benefits of lycopene for skin cancer prevention
“We will also help them understand the distinction between natural and synthetic lycopene,” added Larkin. Most of the science is based on whole tomatoes and natural tomato lycopene complex because the whole complex of carotenoids naturally found together with the lycopene act in synergy, improving effectiveness”.
Lyc-O-MatoÒ, a tomato lycopene complex, when taken orally, helps provide year-round protection against free radical damage and environmental stress that can result from even small amounts of sun exposure.
Lycopene.com harnesses new internet technologies that will enable LycoRed to review and analyze traffic behavior.
